GSoC initial contact
Hi MBDyn Teams,
I am Huimin from Beihang University. I am interested in the project "Implement new time integration schemes", since it is closely related to my research topic. I already uploaded my proposal in the website of GSoC.
Here, I would like to show something for the entry test. I simulated a spring-pendulum example using MBDyn, as shown in spendulum.tif. The input file is also attached, as pendulum1, where you can see all information for the system. The constitute law "linear elastic" is firstly used in the rod joint. The resulting trajectory of the mass is plotted by Matlab, and the result from Matlab simulation (directly solving the motion equation by the ISS1 method) is also presented to checked the correctness, as shown below:
Then I designed a simple drive to achieve the piecewise linear function
Codes here: module-huimindrive.cc
To use it, in the input file, I changed the constitute law to "linear time variant viscoelastic generic", and the new drivecaller (huimindrive, 3., 1, 6., 100000.,) makes the stiffness larger by 10^5 times within [3s, 6s]. The resulting trajectory of the mass is shown as
The result is also checked by the Matlab simulation. That's all what I done.
Have a nice evening!
Huimin.
