Hi MBDyn Team!
First, let me introduce myself. My name is Abdulmalek SHEFAT (Malek is always easier). I currently study Aeronautical Engineering MSc degree in Polimi. I have had my own interesting in computer coding and programming in general.
Github: @mr-intj-22
I am comfortable with Python, Java, MATLAB, and I have some experience with Fortran (Python or MATLAB are always preferred).
I would prefer to work on the numerical solutions and optimizing the code, but I would not be useful since I have no experience with C or C++, but I am sure that I can be of a good use when it comes to 'pre' and/or 'post' processing of the input/output files. I have already been suggested by @10260632 the ability to work on the MBDyn Python Preprocessor (MBDynLib.py) to create shortcuts for repeated code in the input files.
- I have done the first step (./configure, make, sudo make install) and everything went great (surprisingly :D)!
- Ran few "pre-written examples" i.e. Pendulum, SpeedControl.
I have some 'version compatibility' issues with Blender and Blendyn and yet to be solved.
The Manual contains a lot of info and have not read it in detail, yet!
My preference is to, first, develop a potentially general tool to process/animate the output, and then, optimize it for a real-time processing use.
Please let me know about the next step, should I create a case and animate it? If so, what are the requirements? and what project is of 'Highest' priority for the software?
