Entry Test for GSCOC 19 and project discussion

Hi, My name is Manu Aatitya R P and I am a 2nd-year Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student at NIT Trichy. As a part of the GSOC'19, I wish to contribute to MBDyn.
This issue is regarding the same. I have completed the first task of the entry test. I have written the input for a projectile motion of a body in a plane under gravity, with a horizontal and vertical velocity. I have also attached the position plots and velocity plots vs. time — link to the files: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1tEBHUASWTN8k6Sg6ibD7dg74yhrpPurP.
I'm interested in the following topics:

  1. IPC/RT :
I have some prior experience with CFD since I did a project last winter under one of my professors in college and I am good in C++ and Python programming languages with a great amount of experience coding.
  2. Embedded Optimization:
Especially in the "define a modal dynamics as a "deformable body" element (the structural dynamics part of the existing element)" since I'm a mechanical engineering major I'll be able to contribute more towards this.
  3. Flexible element graphical interface : Also interested in contributing towards an efficient GUI. I am currently working on integrating Blender with MBDyn and will soon update on the entry test details.
I look forward in meeting with the mentors and get more insight into the problem statements.
